Tom Quinn retiresOne of the Company's longest serving and most popular staff members, Tom Quinn retires at the end of the year He joined the Office of Public Works as an assistant storekeeper clerk in 1975 and was promoted over the years to his current post as storekeeper clerk in charge. Tom was elected as an employee director to the Harbour Company board in 2002 and retires from the board in December, shortly before his retirement from the Company. He will be replaced by Seighin Lennon who was elected by a ballot among company staff.

Flora and faunaThe Harbour environment is made up of a diverse array of plants, wildlife and birds which contribute much to the enhancement of the Harbour experience for locals and visitors to the Harbour. The Harbour Company welcomes photographs taken in around the Harbour and will publish some of these on the Company website. Please include details to support images that state location taken, brief description, time and date taken and the photographers name and location. All images should be emailed to info@dlharbour.ie .
