NOTICE TO ALL SHIPOWNERS, FISHING VESSEL OWNERS, AGENTS, SHIPMASTERS, PASSENGER SHIP MASTERS, SKIPPERS, FISHERMEN, YACHTSMEN AND SEAFARERS

JACK-UP DRILLING OPERATIONS for the

KISH BANK WIND FARM

 

 
 

 

 

 


The Department of Transport wishes to advise that jack-up drilling operations for the Kish Bank Wind Farm will commence on 10th September 2008 and continue for a period of approx. 4 to 6 weeks subject to weather.

 

Location of the boreholes is as follows:-

 

B1...........53°17.6084' N    5°56.1714' W

 

B2...........53°15.6236' N    5°55.9535' W

 

B3...........53°15.6086' N    5°55.0933' W

 

B4...........53°13.6557' N    5°54.3610' W

 

B5...........53°12.0643' N    5°55.1159' W

 

B6...........53°12.0484' N    5°54.2060' W

    

B7...........53°09.7021' N    5°54.5401' W

 

Drilling operations will be carried out from the jack-up barge " Jakup " with the tug GW214 in attendance. A wide berth is requested.

 

All vessels involved will be displaying relevant shapes and lights while on station and during movement operations.

 

Both vessels will be keeping a watch on CH16 / CH14 while on station with the working VHF channel being CH10.
