Walking, Angling, Birdwatching

For many Dublin people Dún Laoghaire Harbour is best known as a popular location for walking, particularly at week-ends. The West Pier, though less used for walking, has always been a popular site for angling and one can always expect to see a line of fishermen standing at the end of the Pier.

It is also a very favourable vantage point from which to see the many seabirds that frequent Dublin Bay.

Seals are also to be seen adjacent to the Old Ice Plant, now a fish shop, on Traders Wharf.
